Ending the year

Well I seriously apologize for not attending to my blog. There was a good reason though ... my digital camera had been stolen. For the past few months my house has been underconstruction and going through renovation. It was schedualed to be finished by the last week of December ... but that's out of question now as it's the start of 2006.

My mom placed my camera over the table for some reason, then left with my sister for shopping. One of the workers might have come inside and seeing an easy catch, took it away. Since then, I am camera-less and lost all interest. It had pictures of my brother-in-law's new car, a Honda Civic Prosmatic in Onion Colour with some exterior modefications. They were yet to be transfered to my computer. I'll really miss them !!!

December was an eventfull month where our exam results for the Mid-year papers were announced and we also had MELA.

Mid-Year results

The exams weren't that tough for me ... if you exclude the case that I had A level papers clashing with university papers. Still I ended up failing Accounts, Management and Computers while got highest in Maths, had a B in Economics and C in English. Some of my pals failed more papers than me, shocking not even themselves but also the teachers. There is a lot to do to improve.

Mela

It was a great event to attend to. Many of my friends had arrived earlier in the morning, around 10 I guess. Slowly the rest showed up, with me coming round about 11:30. There were lots of stalls erected where a couple of days earlier a book fair was arranged. The whole area surrounding the cafeteria was utilized for that purpose. Some stalls were managed by people outside the university, the rest were by the students themselves.

There was one where Aisha's favourite USB bhai was reading hands, wearing white shalwar Kameez and prayer cap. The smell of agarbatti was quite dominant in the stall and a surprising number of girls were gathering up for it. Don't know what he was telling them as everyone was coming out with its mouth open. Definitely something fishy :->

A few gaming stalls were available like arm wrestling, shooting and ride the puppet horse which turned out to be hell of a Rodio ride with four people menacingly pulling it, making the rider dance over it and then fell down. Mazhar did great by hanging over it from all angles for nearly a whole minute, his body aching horribly in the end.

Some stalls offered a variety of food, though I wasn't in mood to explore them so I didn't cared even a bit to see what they had.

BBA-1B boys offered "Bet 7". They had two dices and a chart paper with three betting options. Below 7, Exact 7 and Above 7. The game was simple ... put down your money on any of the three and roll the dice. The the total of both the dice satisfies your bet, your money will be double, if it didn't ... you'll loose the bet. Boys of my class did participated a couple of times, I don't know what happened to their money. I heard it was kind of No Profit, No Loss situation for them.

There were few outsiders as well, such as Aisha's friend Hina, Naveed's friend Nimra and Aliza's pal Tafeem. They all enjoyed the event throughout the day, including the dance fiasta at the end.

We also made a short visit to Indulge at the Millenium Mall which was of no use. We were forced to be pissed over the management due to our clash with their policy.
