The Exam Result ... the final straw

We had our university's result for our first semester and it certainly wasn't good. A good number of people got probation and a couple were relegated. If that's not enough, three were dropped due to horrible result and one result is not yet disclosed ... and that one is mine.

For the whole day I waited and tried that my result would be made available to me, but it didn't occured even though I submitted the equivalance certificate to the PC Office. The reason is that my result would first go to Islamabad for clearance and then it would be made available to me. If they didn't notified me soon, I might not be able to register for the next semester and wouldn't know what holds for me regarding the result.

The real reason for probation is Management subject. Lots of students failed the paper and their GPA ended up below 2.5, which earned them their first Probation ... or first warning. Naveed, Ali Rashid, Aneela, Tahir, Osman and many other had a GPA below 2.5 because of which they suffered.

Swaleha got the highest GPA of 3.83, followed by Aisha with 3.75. Zareeta, Ali Abdullah, Asiay, Farwah, Maryam, Umema and Zahra all got a GPA of higher than 3.

Munira and Aliza were the unlucky ones who were Relegated ... means they would be repeating the semester and they'll have to maintain a GPA of 2.5+ in all the coming semesters if they want to stay at the university.

What was worse were the drop cases of Mazhar, Tazeen and Sheeraz, who are no longer students of this university. Their GPA fell below 1.5, because of which their admission is now canceled.

The situation is not good either at the homes of those who suffered from probation, relegation and drop. Severe restrictions now surround them and they have to do what is being told to them by their parents.

I wish them all good luck for future and pray that their life would stabalize after this encounter with exam result. And also wish a lot of luck for passing Management in the future :)
