Thunder

Hope you recognized this birdie, if not then don't worry I'll let you in the details.

Meet JF-17 Thunder Aircraft, the joint venture between Pakistan and China. This aircraft has been built in a very limited time frame, that is just over 10 years (usually the time frame is twice than that) and has attractive stats.

It is nearly equal to the newer versions of F-16s (counting out the superiority of weapons and radar) and is very cheap ... $20 Million a piece, less than half of that of F-16.

Pakistan received 2 jets from the first production batch from China and one of them was painted in this colour scheme for 23rd March parade which had been made special with the inclusion of this plane and the new cruise missile Babur (faster than speed of sound, low altitude flying missile that is undetectable by radar).

The flypast on Thunder on 23rd March was awesome. The plane was greeted with applause by the audience and has the successful flight and inclusion into the air force that has left many foreign critics speechless.

Below are a couple of pictures (courtesy to pakdef.info) and a video from http://www.youtube.com where you can see the flypast made by Thunder
